He creates lo-fi sound collages working with flea market cassettes, tape-loops, keyboards and vocals in both English and Dutch.
Live performances by Michiel Klein are completely improvised, sometimes chaotic, sometimes fragile.Fragments of golden oldies, crippled rhythms, noisy outbursts and melancholic melodies come together in dreamlike songs and soundscapes, submerged in tape hiss.

It’s a dialogue between two musical worlds, where we constantly swap input and output by means of routing and mixing, jamming each others signals, merging music and sound.

Julia Bünnagel ist eine medienübergreifende Bildhauerin, Klangperformerin und Installationskünstlerin. In ihren Performances erzeugt Julia Bünnagel strukturelle Kompositionen, die sie aus makroskopischen Texturen zu Tonlandschaften verdichtet und expansive Zustände von Lärm und Beats entwickelt. Sie spielt Live-Improvisationen mit modifizierten Schallplatten. Die veränderten Oberflächen der LPs, die eingesägt, lackiert oder beklebt sind und dadurch spezifische Geräusche produzieren, werden ineinander gemischt, dass treibende rhythmische Soundscapes entstehen. Der Klang bewegt sich zwischen Noise, Musikfragmenten und lauten dreckigen Beats.

What we talk about when we talk about love? E.g. humorous collisions. Sense or nonsense, music or nonmusic? Lukki, Rea and Mirko, holes in sweater, the last pair of underwear and inside them three white asses full of fluff—what is there to be deduced? Sometimes a lightning bolt, maybe, or at least the little twitches from an electric fence. A highway gas station in between Sachsen-Anhalt and Frinvillier, not bad at all: BSG Chemie Ultras know this. Jingles and random findings, comic strips, long chats, General Midi, the tiny bit of grunge still reasonable—Le Maximum de Love far from final destination. Look here: two dogs and a deer starring in the wrong movie, but at least they didn‘t pay admission.

Bridget Hayden [West Yorkshire]

Bridget Hayden is a Todmorden-based musician & rural conjurer noted for her participation with free-form noise rock acts such as Vibracathedral Orchestra, Schisms and Sunburned Hand of The Man.
More recently, she’s been found performing under various monikers related to the „Folklore Tapes“ collective including „TV Terrorland“ and „Echo of Light“. Other collaborators include Bill Nace, Dan Bridgewood-Hill, Sam Mcloughlin, Roy Claire Potter and Mary Stark.
Bridget’s solo output is somewhat difficult to define, often falling into and swinging in-between the static-haze between words and worlds. Aching, yearning folk abstractions drift and swing between blistering, swelling guitar-crackle: Ecstatic fire, paradoxically concussing and elucidating.
Ghost music for the living, breathing and feeling.
Some may draw comparisons to Grouper, The Space Lady, Cindy Lee, & Les Rallizes Denudes.
